Semester program in Education
About the semester program
Students in the semester program in English will study together with HSM’s full-time bachelor students in business administration and innovation, leadership and marketing. The autumn semester requires attendance from mid-August to mid-December.
Courses
The courses in this semester program are electives in our bachelor programs in Business Administration and Innovation, Leadership and Marketing.

- The digital community and the digital economy
- Business systems
- Digitalization and digital devices
- Digital business operations
- Development and acquisition of digital solutions
- Operation of digital information systems
- Process modelling and process management
- Methods and techniques for the realization of organizational gains
- Digital literacy and the value of personal data for businesses and citizens
- Inclusion, universal design and digital exclusion
- Privacy, data security and vulnerability
Organization of the teaching
The class sizes vary, but a class typically has around 40 students. The teaching is organized as intensive courses in 6-8 weeks with one course at a time, meaning that one course finishes before the next one begins. 80% attendance in class is one of the work requirements.
The language of instruction is English.
Information for international students
- The orientation program for international students will be arranged prior to the semester (2-4 days).
- International students are normally guaranteed accommodation through the student welfare organization in Kristiansand, SiA.
